Family of four with two teenagers escaped the rain while visiting the University of Oregon campus by entering this small, but informative museum. A good way to pass an hour or two and to learn a lot about Oregon's natural and cultural history.

From native American history to geology to flora and fauna of the state, it is easy to learn a great deal in a very short time. Good for a short stop on a rainyday.

The museum isn't far from the Art Museum, and is located in a small park-like setting on the main campus. Though always interesting, it's particularly nice when there is a specific exhibit or talk.

I'm nerdy....I like going to museums, even at 43 I enjoying learning about the past and local history. I'm new to the area and it was cool learning new things and seeing history in person that I've actually watched in a documentary or TV shows
