Here's the "honest scoop"- The DAC is a full service athletic club complete with two indoor pools, steam rooms and saunas. The only thing lacking is tennis courts (no room to put them in this downtown location). And the monthly dues aren't that bad.

Tried scheduling swimming lessons, after many telephone attempts to schedule a coach, unsuccessfully, I have little hope of a simple return call.....I hope this is not their "usual practice" attention to detail has definitely been missed!

First time for dinner and it was great. I ordered the Filet steak medium and substitute rice for buttered mashed potatoes because of dairy allergies and more me was done perfectly! Hubby had Chicken Marsala with the mashed potatoes and a house salad. His chicken was tender and juicy. Our server was great and helpful with our selections. The balcony... More

Its on the third floor of the club, well done inside and very good food. A lot of people think its for members only, but walkins are welcome !

I've only eaten there for catered events and have not been impressed. Things are programmed in, prepared well in advance, and choices are sparse. Food is mediocre at best. It is a gym, after all, so the food is an afterthought. There may be a lot of reasons to go to the DAC, but the food isn't one of them.

this is a lovely health club in the center of the small city. nice equipment, good food and even micro brews. great place to have convivial conversation, to get in some exercise, to hang out with other families or just go by yourself and have a work out.

Great spin class. The instructor was attuned to the participants, and helped set up bike controls. She had great music . The age group here is a little older than what I'm used to, but they were friendly and pleasant. It's a do your own thing kinda place. Attached parking, if you're driving Clean women's locker room.

f you are settling in Eugene, a repeat traveller or are going to be here on a TDY, the DAC is a good option to explore. It has various sports, Bball, handball, swimming available. There are many fitness classes and personal trainers available. It has an informal cafe in front and a good restaurant for a full meal. Prices are... More

Already said it, but this might be a good place to go if you work in downtown Eugene. All in all, the YMCA seems a more welcoming environment, especially for families. Of course if you do not have a family, this club would definitely be the better choice.
