To easily get close to the wild surf try this beach just south of Florence, for free parking and undisturbed dunes flowing into an endless sandy beach. Or walk along the contained river watching surfers or fishing boats tackle the big waves that come in. I especially enjoyed the wildness of the place, easy access down a sandy lane from... More

Relative to other places to park and visit along the coast, this isn't my first choice. Granted there is lots of parking and you can see boats come in/out of the little harbor, but if you want a "real Oregon beach experience", pick other places on the map.

Today was a little windy but not enough to blow the sand around. Beautiful walk among the washed up lumber and sea creatures. We found a few intact sand dollars to add to our collection. The wind surfers were out and as always fun to watch and marvel at skill.

If it rains you will be walking in standing water. This park never seems to have a good spot for us to park our 34' 5th wheel with 3 slides. Our spot always seems to be too tight and I hate the back field parking. I will not stay here again but friends seem to like the park.

We lucked out with a clear windless day and took a walk out from the place where campers and surfers park at the end of the road. Closer inland, there are lots of sand-buggies raging up and down the steep dunes, but out here it's all natural. Great big waves came rolling in on a roar and all the logs... More

The Jetty was all that was available as we pulled in around 5:30pm with no reservations. The cost was $25.00 for the night and we had a picnic bench and fire ring with a view of the Ocean. A bit windy if you're staying on the jetty but enjoyed every bit of the raw weather! Fly a kite kind of... More

There are beautiful views from this park. We just happened to learn about it by looking on Google Maps otherwise we would not have known about it. We were searching for a place for the kids to play on the Dunes and so we could watch the sunset and this was perfect.

For a totally different landscape, cross the Siuslaw bridge going south and quickly watch for South Jetty Road on our right 0and turn right. It will weave about 4 miles in toward the ocean and through the sand dunes. It ends at a rocky lot where you can park and either climb the dunes to the water, or take a... More

We had a great time climbing the dune to get to the beach. Once there, we were the only people in site. Lots of small parking lots, many with restrooms. Not the cleanest though.
