The Montinore Estate tasting room is a very pleasant place to spend a rainy afternoon. Given the weather in Oregon, that affords the taster ample opportunities! I arrived with a group of adult family members, many of whom had never been to a winery or a tasting room. The staff at Montinore was very accommodating, especially our hostess, Alysa. She... More

My wife and I stopped in for a tasting and found the grounds to be just beautiful - not overly manicured but clean, colorful and natural. When we entered the tasting room the first thing we noticed was how spacious and homey it was; very comfortable and very inviting. There were two ladies working the tasting room who were very... I wish I could give it a better recommendation because the folks were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great that they follow sustainable viticulture and are biodynamic. We just weren't thrilled with the wine. Did buy a bottle of port which we are enjoying.

My wife and I love the Riesling Sweet Reserve that this winery makes and we were in the area so we took a very long detour to stop by for a wine tasting and to buy a bottle from the source. I must say we were pretty excited and when we arrived the place was gorgeous! Upon entering the building... More

This was one of the neatest wineries where I have been. The tasting room is very large. There was nice furniture and umbrellas. The server was very kind and attentive. The wine was excellent! We purchased two bottles. I would recommend and definitely would return.

Love the Pinot Noir and Rose when in season. Super friendly staff and lovely grounds. I joined the wine club and a great deal!

We stopped in because Montinore had been mentioned by the NY Times as having an excellent red wine under $25. We sure didn't find it! Most of their reds are $45 and up. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out as exceptionally good. There are a lot of other wineries in the area whose offerings are as good or better.... More

The staff was super helpful. We didn't know much about wines, but they explained things as we went along. We told them what we liked, and they steered us towards a wine we really enjoyed.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their wines and the wines are remarkable in their breadth of flavors and deliciousness. Highly recommend a visit to Montinore. Make sure you try the 2014 Pinot Noir, the Pinot Gris and, well, you should just try them all and decide for yourself which is your favorite!
