I wouldn’t put this down as a stop on your road trip as there is not much there but if you want to stop in a very nice area, stretch your legs and maybe have a snack, it’s not a bad stop.

No facilities short turnaround private drive if your traveling northbound I recommend not stopping your 6 miles north of Gold Beach, and 3 miles south of rest stop w/bathrooms

The monument is 3 graves for the Geisel family. However, there is no information provided as to the significance of the family. The parking also contains three picnic tables (with view) that are old and moss covered.

I stopped by to see if anybody had ever put up some information about the family, but alas, I guess that will never happen. Google has info, but it's too bad somebody doesn't write something up. The little cemetery is fairly neat and tidy. Do...More

As other reviewers have commented, this is a small, quaint piece of history that would occupy visitors or a family for ~5-10 minutes. Offers a nice place to think about the past, and to catch your breath after a hike at Otter Point.

Brings to mind the different moral perception that a century passing makes. While there are certain pre-conceived notions about settler/indigenous relations of the time, this monument begs the question: how would you feel?

This is a monument, a historical piece of Oregon. It is Geisel Monument State HERITAGE SITE. SITE! Not theme park, not safari, not shopping center. What do people expect when they see the word site? Disneyland? No go to cali if you want that. This...More

This place is pretty much only a lawn area, picnic table and graveyard. There is nothing to do there except maybe a place to stretch your legs and have a picnic. Don't plan a day or a trip around it

Either we did not find the real Geisel Monument, in which case better signage is certainly needed, or the monument is simply a family grave site. It was not worth the drive to get there.

Care of foliage and quite-tude. It was nice... but only go if you are near the area. It is a bit off the beaten track, and its a sad story.
