One of the most unique tourist attractions on the Oregon Coast, the Prehistoric Gardens is great for young and old alike. Just 17 miles north of Gold Beach lies an untouched prehistoric garden complete with 23 life size dinosaurs set among a lush 300 year old Oregon rainforest. The self-guided tour allows you to casually stroll along the path and discover what the Earth was like millions of years ago. Family owned and operated since 1955, this eco-friendly attraction is a must see! Pet-Friendly! Dogs are allowed to take the tour for FREE as long as they are on a leash.

You can not miss this beautiful attraction, is right on the HWY 101 South. You can experience the 300 year old forest and the dinosaurs. Very well mantain and the store is really cute too! Nice stop to have a coffee and walk around.

It's nice to see the dreams of somebody come to life in such a creative way! And, it was a relief to see how actually science-based it is- you never know with roadside attractions.

Yes, it's a tourist trap, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The dinosaurs are kind of cheesy, designed (I suppose) to be not overly frightening to children. Their size is accurate, even if their details are not. The foliage is interesting, and the historical...More

Not just for kids. We enjoyed our walk in the rainforest with the prehistoric creatures. We are seniors, toured early morning and had the place to ourselves. Fun, don't miss it. Very well done!

The gal pals and I stopped here for a giggle. We're all big dino fans. And they had a lot of big dinos. OK, preserved in concrete, but still quite impressive for accuracy and size. They have taken the time to repaint the critters bright...More

Even better than we expected! Charming, delightful little place. Really informative labels throughout, and the dinosaurs are adorable.

The family went and it was nice. The dinosaurs needed to be repainted and the gift shop was very spendy. Over all we had a great time it was just expensive and needed repairs.

This place was so much fun for our boys, 5 and 8. They didn't want to leave! It takes 15-30 min to walk through and is a nice distraction for kids after spending hours in the car.
