Fabulous collection of aircraft
Oct 2019
I have never seen so many aircraft under one roof. Amazing. They leave a person alone, to wander around and see everything. You can easily invest an afternoon.

Erickson Aircraft Collection- August 2020
Aug 2020 • Couples
We arrived at the museum at about 3:30 pm and had the place to ourselves! All of the planes in the hangar were operational and the displays were exceptional! Too bad there will not be an air show this year because of COVID-19. Allie was very friendly and informative. We stayed until closing time and will be coming back again!!

Impressive

We stopped by this place just because we're camping overnight in their parking lot through the Harvest Host app. My expectations for the museum were modest.

I'm a pilot, so always willing to see an aircraft museum, even if it isn't much for the general public. I was pleasantly surprised that this is (1) a very nice building and collection of mid 20th century aircraft (mostly military), and that (2) many of them are apparently airworthy and are flown from time to time. Mr Erickson's passion and resources have made this a very fun museum.

Out of the way Aircraft Museum is worth the trip!
Oct 2019
I had heard about the Erickson Museum but had not visited it since it was not nearby to my home in the Willamette Valley. So when we found ourselves visiting friends near Bend, we decided to make a stop on the way home.
What a treasure! Its not the largest museum that I have ever seen but it is impressive. Not only for the beautifully preserved WW2 (mostly) aircraft but that most of them are still airworthy. It shows the huge commitment that Erickson has made.
On the day my wife and I visited, it was pretty quiet. I asked the nice lady about the FW-190 that seemed to be missing from the display. She explained that it was out on the flight line as they were working on the engine that day and invited me to walk out to see it. What a treat! With the engine cowling off, it gave me a real appreciation for the complexity of this airplane. One of only 3 flying in the world.

Air worthy & visit worthy
Oct 2019 • Couples
All but two of the aircraft in this collection are air worthy. Only two! Great collection of planes, with a few vintage vehicles scattered around. Other collectibles on display in cases as well as a plethora of historical information, photos, & personal documents etc. give the visitor ‘up close and personal’ accounts of the brave men who flew combat missions or who were instrumental in advancing aviation. Wonderfully displayed, take your time to walk around & admire this collection. There’s also a nice selection of quality souvenirs for purchase. Can you tell we were impressed? It’s a wonderful museum & worth a visit.

A wonderful collection of flying aircraft that are a vital part of our heritage. I even rode in the P51 Mustang...a bucket list item for most pilots! Don’t pass this museum by!

Great collection of aircraft displayed in a very sterile clean environment.

Visited during a Christmas Boutique. There were a number of vendors displaying items from handcrafted soaps/lotions (excellent by the way) to other Christmas items. Very nicely done. While shopping the boutique, we were able to view the collection of aircraft, very clean and professionally displayed!

Treasure Trove of Airplanes
Dec 2018 • Solo
I saw planes I had never seen before. I saw Nazi airplanes, American airplanes, Japanese airplanes, trainers, jet airliners. The only negative was they were holding some kind of dinner that night, and they had moved planes over to the sides to make room for the tables/chairs. So they were more crowded together, which made picture taking difficult. The most amazing thing is that all but two of the planes are flyable, and the same person owns all of them. In addition to the planes, there are other types of historical memorabilia. There were cars, bikes, motorcycles, engine blocks, uniforms, fire engines, and more. I do wish the sign was easier to see as I passed right by the museum.
