I took my boys on a 9300 mile trip out west this summer. We went through 20 states, visited 15 national parks and this was seriously the highlight of our trip. My boys are 8, 12 and 17 and they all had the best time. Our guide, Chad, was exceptional, the staff were friendly, the equipment was well-maintained and the... More

Our family of 4 loved it. Two teenaged boys, 15 & 13 plus my husband and I. We had Dennis as our guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the river itself and everything surrounding it. Took us through the rapids and had us circling around to "surf" the rapids. We opted for the full day and it was a great... More

We had a fantastic time on our first rafting adventure with our host Chachi, who had unlimited knowledge it seemed in answering all our questions. Lunch was legit (we weren't expecting much, but it was all fantastic). Ready to do the Upper Klamath!

I've rafted a bunch of slower rivers but there is nothing like the fast-moving McKenzie--mostly white water, short stretches of calm, crystal clear and euphoric beauty. The 22-mile full-day whitewater trip leaving from Belknap Lodge was sublime in fun, adventure and a perfect amount of adrenaline. Our guide Kris was the best! He was entirely personable, but not a show... More

Rafting the McKenzie River on a clear July day is in itself an exhilarating experience. Going with High Country Expeditions is one way to ensure it's as good as it can get. Our group of four (ages 26 to 61) did the half-day trip with Will as our helmsman and guide. I can't imagine how he could have made the... More

I have been river rafting quite a few times, but my experience this week with High Country Expeditions was the best I have ever had. We had a family reunion in Eugene, so we were a party of 17 going rafting on the McKenzie River. Everything was very well organized. They had wetsuits, booties, and jackets available for us, which... The rafting itself was great - our guide, Hunter, was knowledgeable, personable and fun and we all had a terrific time. The lunch was good and well-organized. A bit disappointed in the management - we were told to meet at 9:30 am and we were there on time, however, others were close to an hour late so we just waited... More

We had a great time floating the river with this group. Fun bunch of guides. Our guide Hunter was a very nice and entertaining young man from Memphis.

What a fun day on the river. When you are in the area, make sure and plan on taking time to do this. The scenery was beautiful and between floating the river and going through the rapids, it made for a fun afternoon. Our guide Hunter made it a lot of fun and was also knowledgeable about the river and... More

We had an awesome experience with High Country Expeditions from the registration through the safety check to the actual ride down the river. Our guide Josh was very knowledgeable of the river i.e., history, fishing, preservation activities and interesting tales about the locals. We were highly satisfied with Josh as our tour guide and we left knowing that High Country... More
