A Documentary on "The Great American Century" would not be complete without AVIATION. America. Orville and Wilber "the Wright Brothers". Spirit of St. Louis, a couple of WWII vintage bombers, navy blue angels and a prixed Russian MIG. all in one place.

If there is an award for an attraction with the least hype and the most quality, the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum would be a contender. I had no idea there was a museum in McMinnville, OR until I drove by and there it was! Who knew that Howard Hugh's famous Spruce Goose ended up in McMinnville! But the museum... More

A very enjoyable museum full of interesting information which is readily accessible. A definite "must see". Separate buildings house the theater, the aircraft museum, and the space museum. Friendly staff with knowledgable docents. An adequately stocked and very pleasant cafeteria is in the aviation museum if you need more than a snack. The size of the Spruce Goose is astonishing.... For those with young kids in love with aviation this is a must go place. Wonderfully organized by eras - from the early aviation days to the flights to the moon and the orbital space labs, you could literally spend a whole day looking at the planes, listening to all the well informed and super friendly guides, watching the movies,... The Spruce Goose is the main attraction, but once you are at the museum you will be amazed by the size and variety of the display. A huge collection of aircraft, spacecraft and flight-related collectibles. Docents that are actual pilots, many of them former military heroes that actually flew the planes. Great detail about each item, but not preachy or... More

We toured both Museums during our visit. I have been there about three times. Need at least 3-4 hours to do both. Probably longer if you have children. Out back if its nice, there was a collection of old Army tanks, and vehicles. Very cool to go inside the Spruce Goose. Pretty busy the weekend we went, but plenty of... More

This museum is not huge as the one in DC. But it is amazing enough to see different kinds of subsonic and supersonic aviation technologies altogether in two different complexes. From famous Mustang and Spitfire to Hercules and SR 78 and Titan missile and space capsules you will be amazed how compactly and beautifully this museum presents the whole history... More

Took the grandkids and they enjoyed their time there. We actually liked it so much that we joined the yearly membership. We will be back again. Very nice collection of aircraft!
