Stayed her two days during recent one week visit to Oregon... it is now a favorite place. I was there during "off" season... so enjoyed the laid back feel of the town even more. Highly recommend a visit if on the Oregon coast.

Nye Beach is a tightly packed little community off the main part of Newport proper, with little shops and restaurants. It's a very small area, and it's difficult to drive around in or to park, especially during the busy times of the year. It's tight...More

They put this weird building where all of the easy parking used too be. The beach is beautiful but there are a lot of dangerous and beligerent bums and very thin kids on drugs.

We are from the east, out here visiting family 1-2 times a year. TO US, the weather does not promote "Beach activities" as it does on the right-coast!, so the beach has little to no attraction to us other than the beauty of the ocean....More

We walked around here and it was cute, but didn't stay too long. There were cute shops and eateries, but we didn't really go into many.

Only a few blocks this way and that way, but a fun stop for a meal, ice cream, bakery goods, candies, and/or gallery shopping. Parking can be a bit tricky, but persevere and you'll find a spot.

Nye Beach is a quaint village nestled right along the beach in Newport. There are a couple of art galleries, shops, and restaurants. Check out the Taphouse for beer. The Sylvia Beach Hotel is pretty neat - every room is dedicated to a different writer....More
