Fun Shops

We walked through Nye Beach before everything was opened. The shops seemed fun. I did like the feel of the area.

The beach is a lovely long one that was great for an easy run up to Agate Beach. The access point reflects the artistic vibe of the surrounding community with sea inspired detail. It was also perfect for walking hand in hand with my honey, stopping to draw hearts in the sand.

Nye Beach is a charming little community on the west side of Hwy 101. Nice accommodations available as well as ocean view restaurants. Fun seaside escape.

This was easy access and lots of fun. Clean. It even has a water faucet at the beginning /end of your walk for feet washing or dog rinsing.

This is a great area of shops, galleries, food and the beach. Everything is located close proximity, so you could have a glass of wine at any of the restaurants, shop a little or browse the local art galleries and Visual Arts Center, and then enjoy an ice cream as you strolled a couple of blocks to the Turnaround and... The beach here is nice and they have quite a few restaurants. We love Chowder Bowl ourselves. The shops here lack some of the boardwalk tourist trap feel of the historic bayfront, and feature a bit more upscale, boutique - y options. For us, it's a preference for one over the other. We saw a lot of kids, but the... More

This is a small shopping district, somewhat historic by West Coast standards, though certainly not New England or Colonial Annapolis. There are a number of interesting shops, and a couple of genuinely good eateries, though you might think of it as primarily suited for touring.

All in all, the Nye beach area has plenty of shops food and beach views to see on a nice day. Better if the sun is out or no misty drizzle, I find that looking in the shops and getting something at the Chowder Bowl, hits the spot... enjoy.
