The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a nationally-renowned science center providing science learning to a range of audiences. Our programming is guided by OMSI’s long-term vision to promote a healthy, innovative, and sustainable society where everyone is prepared to participate in civic life. OMSI’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming helps visitors and program participants master 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. We achieve this vision through exhibits, classes, camps, traveling educators, and adult programs around the state, making OMSI a trusted educational resource to all Oregonians.

This is NOT a museum of either science of industry. It is a collection of interactive things for children to play with, and an exhibition space, but with pretty limited educational value. It is NOT for adults or young people with any interest in learning...More

Came at 9:40 and stayed until 4 (could have long if we weren’t so tired! Lol). My girls enjoyed every exhibit! The planetarium show was great! Beautiful! Robots were very interesting and all the science experiments were great! Pricey but worth it for a special...More

Having been to several other science musuems elsewhere, we were rather underwhelmed by this center. The robotics exhibit was the most interesting part of the whole thing. The submarine was really well tour lead, with lots of good info. Considering we'd been to a couple...More

We came here with our 9 year old and 3 year old. Lots of hands on activities; younger child loved the preschool room while our son did the submarine exhibit with his father. Some of the activities are looking a little worn, but what can...More

We bought an unlimited "family pass" for our relatives to get out and enjoy this wonderful and learning/knowledge based venue. This was primarily because I started going to OMSI at age 13, attending their labs, and learning all available and imaginable to propel my educational...More

There is a lot to see in this museum for children and adults. There are a lot of hands on experiences. But what I like most about OMSI are the adult classes offered at night on many different topics. I attended classes on topics such...More
