After the Shamerock run and the crowds had filtered away, I walked along the Waterfront. You see people walking, jogging, and riding their bicycles along the path. You have great views of the Willamette River and all the bridges that span across it. Near the Burnside Bridge you can find the Saturday market on the weekends. You can also find... More

No surprise, it was raining in Portland during my visit. I took the time to walk from Downtown to Tom McCall Waterfront Park to walk along the river. It was a really nice way to see Portland, wandering from the Cultural District, through the Pearl District, along the river (remember to stop to get a photo of the iconic Portland,... More

The Tom McCall Waterfront Park is a nice place, to take a nice stroll, on a nice Portland day...you'll find some nice, Portland sunny days, every once in a while. Check the weather...watch out for all the big Geese, and more importantly, the big homeless population. There is a very big, (young) population of homeless people, kids...in Portland. It's sad.... If you have a boat fetish like me, you will cream your jeans on a nice day when you see how many boats are here in the summer.

Part of a long greenery along the Willamette river with many bridges connecting the city from west to east. The park stretches from Ross Island bridge at the south end to Burnside Bridge to the north. It is a venue for many city and industry sponsored programs thoughout the year except the winter months. The northern end toward Burnside bridge... More

I have gone to a few music events as well as doing many bootcamps on the waterfront. I am always left with a great inspiration from how wonderful the area is. I have been able to see so many great music artists, including but not limited to; Robert Plant, The Animals, Filter and Cooper & The Jam.

This park is adjacent to the Kimpton Hotel Riverside and was just beautiful with the snow covered trees and the birds flying around

We go a few times a year, general NOT when there is an event going on as it is usually too crowded for just walking. Nice level paths, lots of pretty views and fun to people watch as they jog, yoga, frisbee and hang out. Fine for kids and families during the day, I would not go there at night- gets a... More

The park, really the whole waterfront area is beautiful, on both sides of the river. We walked through this area on several different days, and each day was overcast and chilly, but it didn't damper the mood to be found within the park. The area was bustling, even in the cold, and it was fun to walk through the area.... More

Brisk, but very fun loop run and great way to access the bridges and views you can't get from a car. Will enjoy the park on every return visit.
