If you're really into learning more about the history of Oregon (particularly the Oregon Trail), although if you're not too interested it's probably not worth the cost. It is free to Multnomah county residence however!

This is worth an hour or two to read through the many interesting things tied to Oregon. We enjoyed this place at the end of a day with lots of walking. Street parking is available. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

We came to see the OSU 150th Anniversary exhibit. Lots of interesting information and photos about the university's origin and accomplishments of students, faculty, and grads. The 2nd exhibit we saw was about Civil Rights in the Portland area. Also very interesting.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in town for a few days. Even more worthwhile if you're a local (or native like myself) because it does a great job highlighting all the cool stuff about our awesome state.

Despite murals outside showcasing early Oregon history, there is absolutely no early history. Complete waste of time and money. Exhibits include photos of birds, goats, and at most 10 actual artifacts mostly just clothes.

Wonderful exhibits! Whether you live in Oregon, or are visiting, the Oregon Historical Society is worth an afternoon visit. Artifacts and memorabilia from Oregon's rich and interesting history are on display. Docents are knowledgeable and helpful!
