We visited Elk Rock Garden on a mild Monday in April. First off let me say that it is very important to get the correct address - 11800 SW Military LANE - not just Military, not Military Circle and not Military Street. It MUST be LANE. Be very careful to turn east on to Military Lane off Highway 43. There... More

This place is a hidden jewel of nature and beauty. Wander the trails through the gorgeous gardens. Very peaceful and quiet. The property is an old estate donated to the Episcopal Church who has offices in the old house. Parking is easy. Take a slow walk and enjoy the beauty of rock stairs and ponds. In the Spring the flowering... More

This garden is magnificent at any time of the year, interesting views around every corner, but I like it the best in the spring when the Rhododendrons bloom. Above the parking lot, formerly the tennis court, is the most gorgeous Wisteria you'll every see. Wear walking shoes, the ground is uneven. The garden is a on a cliff, expect to... More

What a great place to walk, savor, enjoy the gardens and greenery rain or shine. Plenty of benches to stop and think your thoughts in peace. Minutes from downtown.

Us your navigation or GPS to find this place. A great place for a quiet walk in a beautiful park setting in the city. The gounds are open to the public and are very nice. A great place to take pictures. The parking lot is small but not many people know about this place.

A charming natural garden. Not as well maintained as others, but since it was a homeowners passion for nature that led to its creation, some weeds here and there are no big deal. When I went, I was the only one there. It felt like exploring a secret garden and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Leave a donation for its upkeep... More

If you are a lover of shade type gardens, this is your place. Very quiet setting and pretty much hidden from the crowds. Lots of maples and similar plants. Very nice paths wind all thru the garden. Easy stroll. Nice view of the river. Very limited parking but doesn't seem to be a problem with so few visitors. No admission... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor, I stumbled across this magnificent garden attraction. It is located in a residential neighborhood and off the beaten track. If you love gardens, it is definitely worth a visit. My friends and I were there on a drizzly October day and the fall foliage had just started to change. There was no one there, not even... More
