My woman loves to sell her clothes here but I don't like it because the clothing there smells musty and old and it takes forever the line.

The Buffalo Exchange is yet another Portland thrift shop. This one is just off SE Hawthorn on SE 37th Ave in a cool location. It is close to Powell Books, a block away from The Bagdad Theater. And need I mention that Hawthorn is a melting pot of just about every type of person you can find roaming the city... More

Following a visit to Powell's, the huge bookstore, we ambled across the street to the Buffalo Exchange. I'm not sure if this is the same one as the address on my receipt says 1038 W Burnside Street which I remember is the same street as Powells...so maybe they have another store in town. This is a place that thrives on... More

Thrift store shopping at its finest! We love these shops! Never know what you're gonna find!!! Deals and uniqueness abound, and each shop offers the flavor of that town, this place is totally Portland!!! Go look, go explore, and enjoy!!! You cannot go wrong with Buffalo Exchange!!! Plus, great location in the heart of downtown!

I am glad I got to experience this store. Lots of cool people watching and the employees are great. I didn't find anything but I liked the way the store was laid out. I will return. I picked up a copy of their magazine which is cool in itself~

This store is packed full of fantastic vintage and unusual clothing items, well organized, great variety and neatly displayed. The clothing and shoes seemed to be in a very gently worn condition. Staff were friendly and we spent quite a bit of time browsing. A fun store to visit if you're looking for that unique wardrobe piece.

I have always avoided thrift shops/vintage stores or whatever hip, politically correct way they should be called. I come from a family who sold clothes in the Philippines and was taught that wearing clothes worn by other people is conducive to developing body odor. (Hey, this was the Philippines! Humidity makes body odors a very legitimate worry when you have... More

Pack too much? Lighten your load with this buy n' sell retail store. At times, I've had some success selling my clothes but they seem to be pretty picky. If you're looking to make some extra spending money, I would recommend trying your luck here and then going to the Crossroads across the street. They seem more willing to compromise... More
