From the moment I booked my trip with Backcountry, I was happy with the attention to detail. The ease of reserving online was great for time savings, and I was immediately contacted asking about preferences and special requests. My friend and I didn't have too many specifics but gave some general ideas on the types of wines we liked, the... More

I recommend Backcountry Wine Tours without reservation. We had to do some last minute rescheduling due to travel hiccups on our part. Backcountry Wine Tours was able to accommodate our needs easily. Dylan was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent information about Willamette and the wines we were tasting. I plan on coming back to Portland-and when I do, I will... More

Dylan was our guide to 4 wineries, and he could not have been more perfect. My SIL and I were joined by another couple visiting from Japan, so there was a big age difference as well as cultural which gave us a great experience. Each winery had a distinct personality, not just with wine but with architecture and service, and... More

Dillion was very knowledgeable of the wine industry and provided great facts along the drive. We had a group of 8 and visited 4 wineries. The first stop was down a long windy dirt road to Fairsing. The views from the tasting room were spectacular and the wine was great as well. We enjoyed the boutique wine experience visiting place... More

It is hard to find words to express how happy we were with our Backroads Wine Tour. Jack, the owner, picked us and one other couple up at our hotels in McMinnville and took us on a a tour of four "backroads" boutique vineyards in that beautiful area. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wine making business and patiently answered... More

Three couples toured the Willamette with Jack's guidance and advice. This was a ten year reunion from our 2006 Pinot Noir trip, so our group consulted with Jack by phone several times in advance, to make sure appointments were scheduled with our past favorites and Jack's updated recommendations. Jack helped us put together a great lineup! We enjoyed 3 or... More

Minivan + driver/wine expert = day to remember! Our private tour (8 people) was the ideal way to visit 3 wineries and learn more about the varietals that flourish in the Willamette Valley. Excellent lunch too
