Stunning!

Its a beautiful moderate hike but well worth the effort especially during the fall and winter months.

Our first family visit to the Portland. We used evergreenescapes tour for our visit to the falls area (EvergreenEscapes is great - see their reviews). Wahciella Falls is beautiful and unbelievable. There is a lot to see in the area. Understand it is very busy in the summer.

We made the mistake of visiting here on Labor Day so crowded is an understatement. Driving here from Portland, we first stopped at Vista House for a beautiful scenic view of the Columbia River Valley. Traffic was at a dead stop leading to Multnomah Falls which actually ended up being a lucky break. We found a parking spot in a... More

The was the first stop on our visit to Portland. This was highly recommended to our friend that just moved there. I agree with him when he said this is a must see! It was about an hour drive from our friends house but the drive is very scenic. Being from LA you don't get to see trees and clean... More

A great little hike : ) The falls are gorgeous, and the pathways to and from are also beautiful. A small parking area, but luckily it wasn't crowded : )

I love Wahclella but there's one caution... there's a super steep section near the falls. It only lasts for a handful of meters but it's really steep.

a busy area as it is between the Vista house and Multnomah falls. I would hike up and do the loop if you are in shape and not afraid of heights. if it is wet is is slick. there is beautiful moss and trees and four falls that you will see as well as having a great workout an see... More

We hiked this with a toddler and an infant, both in carriers. It was a pleasant hike. It has some places that will get you out of breath with a child on your back, but isn't overwhelming. If I had a small child walking himself, there would be some drop offs beside the path that would require strong supervision. It... More

The falls are about one mile from the parking lot on a fairly wide trail. They are quite spectacular, especially because one comes in at a 90 degree angle. Especially in the sprint they have a heavy water flow. (this picture does not do the falls justice.)
