From either end of the bridge, the view is impressive. To the East, you see the Cascade mountains; to the West, Forest Park. A note of caution: go really early in the day to avoid a fairly constant stream of traffic.

We drove over several times while in the area. Traffic in the city is an issue no matter which road or bridge you are on, this is no exception.

If you are a lover of architecture you have to take in this classic bridge design. The public areas underneath are charming and great photo opportunities. Pack a lunch and take time to stroll and relax. The images will stick with you a lifetime.

This is my favorite bridge in Portland. I just love the color and the backdrop. Not a whole lot happening in St John's but if you get a chance to drive by on your way to German-town road, its worth a quick detour

The simple lines and elegant architecture make this one very stunning bridge. Did you know that "The Librarians" uses this as their location?

I believe the bridge was built in 1931. It is designed by the same architect who did the Golden Gate. As the story goes, it was meant to be build farther in town, but because of political pressure, it was moved down river to St...More

By far, a must see bridge in the outskirts of the city of Portland. This amazing looking bridge is a steel suspension bridge that spans the Willamette River and one of the finest examples of late 1920's/early 1930s architecture in the country! Can be crossed...More

Elegant, classic, and a great view of the surrounding Volcanoes. I love this bridge and the park below is not to be missed.
