Great farm picking

I love picking fruit there so you can can it and eat it and share it with friends and lovers. An oasis.

To get organic produce and stumbled onto the wildlife area. Nice to picnic, nice little beaches. Clean well kept, Busy at time with cyclists and families. Really the best beach for little ones, little muddy, but the water is shallow and calm..

This is a big island on The Columbia River that has many places to explore. The beaches on the river are a favorite place for locals to go to when the weather gets hot. There is a clothing optional beach here on the west end of the island on the river.

This palce has it all. You can drive around the island in a short amount of time or spend the day biking on all the roads. Summer adn fall brings fresh produce markets with plenty of local produce to choose from. This is a popular place for pumpkins. Perigrine falcons nest on special platforms by the power line poles which... More

We visited this spot to pick wildflowers for a friends wedding. Worth a trip to see all the flowers in bloom, a little outside the city but fun for what we were doing.

This State-managed Wildlife Area is a wonderful, close-in resource for residents of and visitors to the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. This Wildlife Area offers visitors opportunities to fish, hunt, and watch birds and other wildlife. We stopped at a handful of overlooks and viewing platforms, saw few people, but a number of birds, including sandhill cranes, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, marsh... More

A great place to go walking or biking. If you are so inclined, you can pick apples, peaches and blueberries. It is a fun palce to spend an afternoon.

My wife and I recently drove all through Sauvie Island...how remarkable. The west side of the Island is fantastic if you are looking for a place to live in a county atmosphere. At the wildlife viewing area there is great big nest on one of the power poles where a predator type bird watches over its domain...awesome. We drove by... More

Parking passes are $10, I recommend getting one from the little store just over the bridge. We grabbed some fruit at one of the fruit ranches and went to the beach to enjoy some sun and water. The temperature was great. The beach that starts after the pavement ends is clothing optional (FYI). We had a great time.

This super close farm rich island was a beautiful place to take our bikes and enjoy a 12 mile ride through luscious farm land. The only issue we had was that there was not a bike lane but for the most part the drivers seemed to respect the bikes as much as possible. There were a few places to stop... More
