Spent a lovely leisurely 2-1/2 hours hiking the Marquam Trail to the Council Crest Trail and back. My husband and I are 60 years young and this was a perfect match for our abilities. Delightfully cool in the shade and dappled light of the trees....More

We ended up stopping here to get out of stand still traffic during rush hour. It was a highlight of our trip in Portland. The trails were muddy but not difficult to walk on. We were so close to congestion but once you are on...More

We hiked trails within the park as part of the 4T (Trail, Tram, Trolley and Train) experience. The trail portion of 4T was approximately 4 miles in length and was an easy to moderate hike (some of it was uphill). There are several trail alternatives...More

The Marquam Trail is part of the 4T Trail (train, trail, tram, & trolley). You get to see a lot of Portland- wear good walking shoes & bring some water. It was a good hike with plenty of people & dogs along the way.

There are several hiking trails to explore. Also, there is a small amphitheater with a terrific mosaic on the walls of the seating. The mosaic features flora and fauna indigenous to the park, and was created by volunteers. It is beautiful and inspiring, and harmonizes...More

Set among its trees and trails, Marquam Nature Park near OSHU features a remarkable small ampitheater created with tiles and glazed pottery. The art work is a community project, and worth a pilgrimage to enjoy its embodied spirit, and the woods and creatures around it....More
