I've used MAX many times and it has saved me when I got caught in snow storms or super bad traffic due to heavy rains, etc. There are many stops--they could use some more bathrooms nearby. Quick and not to expensive to ride to downtown...More

One of the benefits visiting Portland is their public transportation system. The Max-Line covers several areas and almost all trains eventually cross through downtown. Just find Pioneer Place and you will see the many different Max Lines. Clean and easy commuting from A to B

We use the max frequently and find it convenient and easy to use. The only complaint I have is not enough parking at Delta Park station and dealing with the crazy homeless that seem to always ride the max for free.

Enjoyed the convenience of the MAX. Schedules and distribution of most stops is very nice. There are some areas that are difficult to access by MAX. Also the trains are getting old and should be updated. Be prepared for a WIDE array of riders on...More

We used this everyday. $2.50 all day. Go anywhere and everywhere. We never hit the spot to tell them we were using and no one ever asked to see our ticket. Very clean very convenient, and very fast.

The max and parking garage make it easy to navigate downtown from clackamas. Didn't have to worry about parking for the timbers game and unlimited rides throughout portland for 5 bucks! And stops right out front of the stadium.

Uber is expensive. This is a great way to see more area by hopping on and off. Exploring in a different style

The desk clerk at our motel recommended the light rail and we were sure glad that she did. It only cost us $5 for 2 senior all-day passes. No fighting the traffic into Portland or paying the expensive parking fees in the city. People that...More

I found the MAX to be very easy to use and it went to all the major areas of Portland. Overall the TriMet system was very easy to use and I did not have to drive anywhere on our visit.

If you can, do rent a car to visit the gorge area. There are so many waterfalls to see, places to hike (short to long, easy to difficult), and views to enjoy.

I don't believe so. This is a city / suburban service. Eugene is almost 2hours south of Portland on I5.
