Works Great!

Only used it to and from the airport. On time and no problems. Sections of it are quite fast so I expect it is quicker than driving.

When visiting Portland, take advantage of the good public transportation system. You can leave your car at home!

My husband and I wanted an adventure with the 3 1/2 year old twins. It was a nice day and I looked up Max. The schedule showed that the farthest stop was in Hillsboro. I then looked to see if there were restaurants around that area. We left before lunch time and ended up having a great day. We saw... More

for $2.50 you can go 50 miles. example, airport to Hillsboro. An all day pass is $5. Signage and purchasing are easy-peasy. Trains are clean - folks are respectful. Dont hesitate to save some bucks and catch the rail.

Instead of driving in, we often take the train so we don't have to worry about parking. The trains are clean and well maintained. Service is great. You rarely have to wait more than 15 minutes for the next train.

MAX is so very convenient, especially from the airport to downtown Portland and to other locations in the metro area. The station is just outside the Terminal and so very easy to buy tickets for MAX. The trains are comfortable and very smooth. It is also very convenient to get day tickets or even a weekly ticket which can be... More

The Portland area is served by one of the best transit systems not just in the U.S. but in the world. Covering most of the area, efficient, convenient and inexpensive. Visitors should investigate this option instead of automatically renting a car.

Traveled by Maxx everywhere I went. Close to many attractions. Very clean and the passengers were friendly: helped guide me to my many locations.

I took the MAX train from the airport into downtown Portland on a weekday and went back to the airport on the train on a Sunday. On both days the train ran every 15 minutes, was not too crowded, and was on time. It was comfortable and much better than sitting in traffic. The cost is very reasonable and tickets... More

Max is a great way to get around portland, but it is dirty. Be sure to use purel, gloves or handy wipes after riding
