We took the orange MAX to the last stop before the Willamette River and then walked over the dramatic TC bridge. I loved it, but consider the weather before attempting it-- there was a chilly wind, and I thought my nose would freeze.

We crossed over the bridge and back. It was a nice walk, very windy the day we went. There is a starbucks on the opposite side of the Science museum that we visited. It's a cute bridge, nothing that spectacular. If you are going to...More

The Tilikum Crossing is one of our favorite walks across the river with a great view of the city. It's easy to jump on a bus or street car on either end if you'd like to continue your journey.

The Crossing is located off the Waterfront Downtown. Nice easy walk across the bridge. Get to watch the Dragon Boats practice on the river. Also a great place to watch July 4th Fireworks.

Buses, Portland Streetcar, Portland MAX (light rail), bicycles and pedestrians. NO Autos or motorcycles. Expansive views of downtown and South Waterfront. I like walking across it from either side. Beautiful lighting at night.

Walking, riding or traveling by Portland's MAX train across this bridge is a real treat. It's nice to see infrastructure totally focused on something other than motorized vehicles. The views are wonderful and there are art installations at each end to make it even more...More

A great way to cross the Willamette River on foot. Wide walkways with bike and pedestrian lanes. Fabulous city and mountain views and views up and down the river. Sadly, very little to see on the east side but the homeless.

Great walk across the bridge, beautiful views. My wife and I walked at night, as we headed East. We got across and looked out for Division street. BEWARE most restaurants are farther down, and walking at night around the area was a bit sketchy. I...More

The design is very nice--standard Calatrava type bridge that you'll see all over the world, but hey, they're all pretty stunning. The view of mountains and rivers is great. And it's really cool to see the various modalities of mass transit that share the bridge...More

I had a short (2 days, 1 night) vacation in Portland, and it so happened that it was the Festival of Lights. I especially liked this bridge. Pedestrian and biker friendly. I enjoyed my night walk in the bridge, since it was close to my...More

Not really. There is a public restroom at the Hawthorne bridge on the west side. The OHSU Medical building is open to the public and I would guess you could go in there but have not tried it. No restrooms on the east... More

Yes, it is right next to OMSI so you can walk across it from the west side to the east side. You can also get to OMSI using the Portland Street Car, there is a stop nearby OMSI.
