Peterson's Rock Garden is amazing. The kids love to climb around and see the amazing rock creations. I myself love to look at the fantastic rock collections and learn about the different types or rock and where to find these is Oregon. Highly recommend stopping in for a full family outing or just a couples day out. An adventure to... More

Our family decided to make a quick stop at a childhood memory. I remember visiting in the 80s on a class field trip. It was so sad to see how much the property has fallen into total disrepair. There was trash everywhere and the house looked like it was falling down. We were able to get someone to open the... More

I had looked forward to visiting this garden for most of my life, and when we finally went, it was sadly under-maintained. There were dry weeds all over and some of the stone structures were falling apart. Sad that this has happened, I hope someone rejuvenate it so it isn't lost to history!

I found it amazing. Mr. Peterson's vison of geology expressed in a way I've never seen before. It is a true work of art. Then add the peacocks, and this place is very unique, and one place you will enjoy. I did. What imagination. Too cool!

Not as cared for again. 20 yrs ago this place was grand. Then it was run down badly. 2 yrs ago man and women was working it and it showed. Stopped by this fall and looks like it took a tumble. Sad. This needs a lifetime commitment by someone who loves what they do.

For locals, the Petersen Rock Garden has always been that unique little gem that was slightly in need of repair.....however, recently, the Rock Garden has been updated, fixed, repaired and looks absolutely beautiful! What a lot of work has been put into it! And what a unique place! Whether you are a rock-hound or not, the Gardens will be a... More

During our latest visit, there was a restored "Swan Boat" out on the water. Hope the renovations continue on this great piece of "roadside" Americana. Admission is by the honor system so please be honorable and stuff the box with your admission dollars to help keep Peterson Rock Garden open. As I said in my last review they need to... More

Our family has included Peterson rock gardens for decades and it's always fun. The peacocks and cats are a real treat.

The Peterson Rock Garden in Redmond is a marvel at the passion and skills of a Danish immigrant, the late Rasmus Peterson. I was blown away at the millions of rocks used in the sculptures, buildings, ponds, statues, fountains, bridges and rock museum. The variety of lava rocks, stones and material used is just plain awesome. Mr. Peterson passed away... More

OK, I've wrote a review before the "renovation" and found it not very enjoyable. Just went back again - at the urging of a visiting relative and found it in the same sad shape. Could be very nice. Maybe weed the walking paths and dust a little in the gift shop/museum at least 1x/mo. Man, I'm gonna try not to... More
