This lake is one of the clearest waters in all of Oregon. Not visited by a lot of people during the week, so generally quiet and serene - a perfect place for kayaking. Very cold water, so not ideal for a swim unless you're a polar bear type.

Stopping by for an hour on Eugene-Rednond trip. Watched happy boaters on a mirror like lake with breath taking views. Sweet spot I will explore on way home.

If you go here on a weekday, things are great. Weekends are too crowded. The lake is beautiful, clear (as the name implies) and is fine for row boating, kayaking, maybe fishing and just relaxing. Liked it alot but after 1 hour, I was done.

Very nice setting for a no-motors lake. As the name indicates, the water is indeed clear. I took the scenic hike around the lake and along the McKenzie river trail. The Clear Lake Resort has a small cafe and several cabins for rentals - think fishing cabins. On the other end of this tiny lake you can camp. It was... More

We camped in the Coldwater Campground near Clear Lake (you can see it from quite a few campsites). While there we hiked around the lake (some on a paved trail - sometimes over lava rocks) enjoying ourselves immensely. Unfortunately didn't have our kayaks with us as that would have been great!

This is a pretty peaceful place, and good fishing spot. My husband caught quite a few fish in a really short period of time. Good for those with kids and dogs.

Easily accessed from the main highway. Old growth forests and great shade. Classic, old slab-wood picnic tables. Several put-in places for kayaks. Sometimes very busy with divers on summer weekends....water is very deep and clear. What I like about this place for an all-day trip is to hike the 5.5 mile parameter trail (widely varying growth and scenery....awesome), have a... More

I was there around 2013 or 2014, learning elevation scuba diving, I want to go back. The place is peaceful.

When I was six years old, I literally peed my pants while out in the fishing boat with my Dad and brothers. My Dad is still embarrassed about that, because the fishing was so good that he and my brothers wouldn't bring the boat in to shore to let me relieve myself. I've since been back on every trip to...
