If you like hiking, this is a place. Lots of waterfalls and big trees. The trails are well maintained. If I'm living close to this place, I would probably come here often. You can do picnic, swim and lots of hiking. If your planning to...More

We spent a beautiful, clear summer day hiking the Canyon Trail at Silver Falls State Park. There are shorter and longer hiking options, but the trails are well maintained and this should be an easy family hike. There are beautiful forest views but the highlights...More

On a prior visit, we completed the full (approx. 8 mile) loop. We did not have time on this trip, so only visited South Falls and Lower South Falls before taking a shorter loop back to the parking lot. This trail is worth your time...More

My husband and I opted to take the longer hike (we clocked 8.5 miles, but I think it's closer to 7). It's a relatively easy hike with mostly level trails that aren't filled with too many stones or rocks. We saw at least 10 waterfalls...More

There are paved and unpaved paths with multiple loops for those wanting a short hike or a bit longer of one. We did the 5.0 mile loop viewing seven of the waterfalls. It took about 2.5 miles and was gorgeous out. We got there on...More

I absolutely loved this State Park. There are several different hikes you can take depending on how much you want to walk and how physically fit you are. The longest hike is 11 miles and it views 10 waterfalls. The Upper North Falls is easily...More

We did a short hike to South Falls and it was amazing! The trail even goes behind the falls! We viewed North Falls from a pull off. Just beautiful!

Go to ReserveAmerica to get camping reservations there. There is also a biking/hiking campsite near Lyons, to the south about 2 hours bike ride depending on your route.

You might try Travel Portland's website. Or give them a call.
Hello, was curious to ask you about the weather during your visit at the park. I've checked the Portland forecast and looks like we will be visiting next week in the rain. It will be our first visit to OR and don't want to take the 70 plus mile drive if we won't get to enjoy the park. Did you get rained on? Is there a road that travels through the park or is it only hiking trails? Thank you!
