This little stopping point gets lots of traffic. It has a really beautiful eastern view of the Columbia River Gorge. Not as busy as Crown Point. It as far East as you can go at this time on the Old Historic Hwy due to the...More

This site is great for pictures. Overlooks the Columbia River and Valley. The road to get to this overlook is beautiful, and goes right by Tad’s Chicken and Dumplings, which is a must stop. The road to. Mulhollan Fall was closed past the overlook on...More

You know all those spectacular photos of the Columbia Gorge with the Vista House commanding a stellar view of the Columbia river? Yeah this is where those photos are taken. There is a lot fewer people here than at the vista house. It's a short...More

Every visitor to the Columbia Gorge coming in from PDX or Portland should make this their first stop along the Historic Columbia River Scenic Highway. You will get a great view of the Gorge unless you encounter smoke from wildfires like we did. It was...More

I say gorgeous in a pun, because it's one of the best views of the gorge. Well worth the time to drive to. It's not far from the vista house.

Great place to visit if you're from out-of-town, don't have much time, and can't walk trails. You can get there in a half hour from Portland, and the view of the Columbia River and the opening of the gorge is magnificent.

This park is only about 2 miles from the world famous (and super crowded) Crown Point viepoint. The view is almost as grand and there is no one around. Try it you'll like it!!!

We drove along the historic Scenic Highway 30 and just followed the signs. The tourist information center in Troutdale was very helpful, they told use about the route to use.
