Stopped in here on the 1 day in 5 we had in Yachats that was not raining... it was fabulous! The power of the water and the way it has carved the rocks over time... awe-inspiring. Definitely worth a trip. Little hikes all over the...More

You want to get there near high tide to get the effects of the churning. During a storm is even better. It is a long chasm with tidal effects.

This is a nice overlook of a churn that has spectacular wave action in a crack in the rocks. It is a little larger than some, but there are many sights like this along the coast. This offers a view from above, which is nice,...More

Just outside of Yachts going south the Devils Churn, is well marked but on a very windy 101, so go gently and watch out. The carpark is adequate of approximately 15 cars. The walk down to the view point and beach is scenic and safe...More

Another scenic spot in this area but the waves weren't high enough to crash against the rocks but still so much beauty. Did the restless waters hike.

We walked around looking for it not knowing what to expect. I'd recommend a stormy weekend for a good show but it's a huge rock old cave that caved in and you can see the ocean threw it. Glad I saw it but thorns well...More

Pretty area to stop as you explore the coast. At low tide there is plenty of tide pools and rocks to explore along the oceanfront. On high tide the water gets pretty rough but makes for more dramatic churning and sounds in Devil's Churn. Bathrooms...More

Best to come when the tide is higher for a better show but even when not peak, this place is awesome. Fun to explore and watch the ocean meet the land with all it's might. Steep but pretty manageable trail to the rocks where they...More

There is a parking fee for the lots on site- but if you buy the parking pass from the ranger station, it is good for all park stops along the way.

Google Yachats tide conditions 2015. It's also worth noting that other weather conditions such as swell, storm etc will have an effect on your experience so watch the weather forecast for the area.
