There is a very varied coast line in Yachats area. Rough and rocky in places but smooth beautiful beaches as well. Frequent entrances to beach access to take advantage of the waves up close.

Such a beautiful drive from Waldport to Yachats. So many places to stop and take photos and enjoy the peace of the ocean. Hotels, motels, homes and lodges provide several places to spend the night.

Don't take your eyes off the road, though it's hard as the coast is stunning---Waves, rocks, big precipices, soaring birds--you will see it all. Have someone else do the driving so you can enjoy the drama. Lots of places to stop and enjoy the beach.

Easy access to a rugged and rocky coast. Lots of dramatic waves and little nooks and crannies filled with starfish and sea anemones. Wear real shoes, the rocks can be challenging.

We stayed at the Ziggurat that was beautiful and right on the water about 5 miles from town. You can go to AirBNB and search for "Yachats Ziggurat" to check on availability.
