Park your car and explore this fabulous area. Take the time to walk on all the trails because they take you to some excellent sites - Devil's Churn and Thor's Well. This is one of our favorite places on the Oregon Coast.

This is one of my favorite scenic areas because it is so pristine. Verdantly green, clean air, and stunningly beautiful. If you curve around to the right after you park, you will come to a beautiful overlook of the Pacific Ocean that is simply stunning.

First off I have to say how cool this place is. I've lived in Oregon over thirty years and never once been to this town. Spent the day adventuring along the Oregon coast and happened onto this small town and wow what a cool place....More

We stopped in this scenic area on a recent trip up the 101. The visitor center staff recommended a drive and short .4 mile loop hike to get to the Cape Perpetua scenic overlook. It was beautiful! The day pass was $5.00. I'm sure there...More

Hello, How long of a visit is typical for Cape Perpetua, just to get a good feel for the beauty of the area, not doing much hiking or anything like that. Thanks! Jodi

Hi, Jodi. It really depends on the time you usually spend getting to feel the beauty of a place. I would say three hours as minimum time (if you are the type that does museums in less than an hour). In my opinion, even if... More

Yes, dogs are permitted in the campgrounds but as noted must be leashed. I took my dog on the short hike to the Oldest Spruce, on leash of course, as well as to the various trails by the viewpoints. There were folks taking... More
