We did the 3 mile buggy ride which took about 30 minutes. During the ride through the beautiful Lancaster countryside, our driver, Abner, filled us in with lots of information about local Amish homes and farms that we passed. It was a really nice way to spend 30 minutes and get a little Amish education.

The last time I went on a horse pulled buggy ride, I was 7. This time, I had my own 7 year old. We loved it. We had a chance to take a bus tour, but wanted something unique and this was surely the place to go. We took a 2 mile tour and it was great. I told my... More

If you want an in-depth understanding of Amish life (or, if you're like me, and like to ask A LOT of questions), I would highly recommend their 2.5 hour buggy tour. We had a wonderful guide - he is ex-Amish (his parents left the Amish when he was 15), but he is 2nd cousins with the owner (who is Amish),... More

We stopped into Abe's by recommendation of the B&B we were staying at. This buggy ride did not disappoint. We had a wonderful guide, Paul, and he told us all about the farms we passed. I felt that it was much less commercial then the other buggy venders that we had passed in our travels. We had our own private... More

We have been to the area a few times before but had never done a ride before. It was a really warm day and we decided to stop spur of the moment to do a buggy ride. I sure am glad we did. The prices were very reasonable. 30 minute ride for $15.00. We waited about 20 minutes for our... More

We went to Abe's on Good Friday, 2017. We didn't know the Amish don't work on Good Friday so the wait for a buggy ride was a long one - about an hour and a half. It was a beautiful day, and there's a playground and lots of seating so it was a pleasant wait. There are also farm animals... More

We took an hour long buggy ride with Elizabeth of Abe's Buggy rides. Elizabeth was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and Amish History (Herself being Old Order Amish) and welcomed any questions we had about her own Amish family or about the area in general. It was like talking to an old friend, we had a very nice... More

Worth finding this place, its open on sunny days throughout the winter. Very personable and prefer to the bigger versions in kettle village. Horses look healthy and happy, worth a visit and tour of Armish land, suggest 30 mins minimum ride.

The people who run this place are very nice guys. We enjoyed the experience. Maybe a little overpriced, but fun. The buggy ride was relaxing, beautiful scenery, fairly comfortable seating. It stops at a real Amish farm and one of the family's children comes out to sell his mom's homemade homemade goodies!
