I've been here many times over the years for the basic collection and for several traveling shows. Most recent visit was during the Andrew Wyeth 100 Retrospective. I enjoy the building and the grounds as much as the paintings. We toured the NC Wyeth studio...More

Lovely small museum. The Andrew Wyeth retrospective was marvelous! Take the studio tours to learn more about the lives of both Andrew and N.C. Wyeth. Beautifully designed museum.

We were in the area for Longwood Gardens. I was one in a group of 4. My wife and I both felt the experience was a 3 out of 5. I think our friends would grade it higher. I like art, particularly painted art but...More

The Brandywine River Museum of Art actually sits on the bank of the Brandywine River, which a lovely setting anytime of year. The exhibits are comprehensive and well laid out, very visitor friendly and informative. Well worth the trip.

What a wonderful place! It was very crowded even on a Tuesday, but I still could enjoy the galleries. Seeing so many paintings in one place was quite an experience.

Have not been to Barnes museum in Philadelphia, but Wyeth works are likely different except maybe when Brandywine museum loans out works from its permanent collection.
