We visited Flint Hill Farm to learn how to make cheese! What an amazingly fun and interesting visit. We arrived for our class and were greeted by two friendly dogs. We then went inside the Farm Store and met the owner/teacher, Kathy. She told us to take a few minutes to explore the farm. What a relaxing walk to visit... More

We stayed over on a Saturday night, working the farm on Sat afternoon and Sun morning. None of the work they had us do was too hard, even for my special needs child. We fed horses, pigs, goats; collected eggs; put the horses out to pasture; brought the cows/horses in for the night; and moved bales of hay from a... More

My daughter and I spent a beautiful Saturday morning with Kathy learning to make chevre and mozzarella cheese. Our time on the farm was both fun and educational – Kathy is a wealth of information. We were able to spend time with the goats that provided the milk for our cheese(s) as well as the other farm animals - such... More

Recommended by friends, we stayed for my son's 5th birthday (with our 7 year old and baby) and had a fabulous time! Kathy and her team are warm and engaging and very down to earth. It is a small working farm and our family not only got to see and learn a lot but DO a lot too... feeding animals,... More

While staying with friends in New York they took us to Flint Hill Farm for the weekend and they could not have picked a better place. Kathy was so welcoming and the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for her despite being so busy with every thing going on on the farm. We were given a tour by Rebecca... More

We had a couple visiting New York from England, and wanted to give them a break from the hustle bustle of city sightseeing, so we booked an overnight stay at Flint Hill Farm, not really knowing what to expect. Well, we were thrilled! The farmhouse is beautiful, and Kathy and the other folk who work on the farm could not... More

We stayed at Flint Hill for about a week in our own RV, as a work camping farm vacation. It is a small working farm with horses, milk cows and goats, chickens, and a gaggle of other creatures. Our 2 teenagers got a chance to do some hands on farm work, learning and hanging out with the animals. Kathy the... More

Our family of seven recently stayed in our RV on the farm for more than a few weeks. Kathy (the farm owner/manager) welcomed us, making us feel welcomed and at home. Our kids (16, 14, 12, 10, and 8) were introduced to the animals and quickly became immersed into the farm life and daily chores. It was perfect! They spent... More

When I told my four teenaged kids we were going to take a “farm-stay” vacation, I got a mixed reaction. The girls were excited about it while the boys asked, “What else is there to do?” I’ve never been on a working farm, so I have to admit, this vacation really was for me to knock an item off my... I would highly recommend a stay at Flint Hill Farm. It is truly a working farm first and foremost, but also serves as an excellent B&B. My family (2 adults, 1 pre-teen, 1 teenager) spent 2 nights and occupied 2 rooms. Rooms in the original farmhouse are smaller than modern accommodations, so be prepared for that; but they are clean,... More
