First, free is s great price! Second, this is a place where you pick up something new every time you go. This is a definite place to see when in the area. The capitol is in a Renaissance style and it is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. They offer tours so you can see the chambers of both the Senate and House of Reps. The fountain on the back side of the building is stunning; they light it up at different... More

It is not many building that I visit that I would describe as awesome.Just take the free tour or you can take the brochure and do a self guided tour and see for yourselves.

The half hour, free tour of the State Capitol building was absolutely wonderful. It highlights the history and beauty of the Legislative Chambers, Supreme Court, Governor's Office, and the Grand Staircase (modeled after the Paris Opera). Definitely worth a visit. After the tour, walk 2 or 3 blocks south along State Street, and take the elevator to the 12th floor... More

Amazing place to walk around and take in the sites. Who knows, you might even get a glimpse of the governor if your lucky enough.

The tour is free and the art and architecture are incredible. The tour guide was well informed and willing to answer all our questions.

A nice building for an over bloated government that only cares about themselves. Some of their staff members make more money than they do!. The largest state government for the 12th largest population. Hmmmmm.
