City Island has a bit to offer for everyone. It has a baseball stadium, water front view of Harrisburg, a mini golf course, and is great for catching Pokémon (for those who still play). The island is a great place to go for the kids as well. Definitely one of my favorite areas to hangout during the summer.

So many things to do. To watch soccer or baseball or swim or do boating. Or just take children and have fun. A lot to do. Island is between East and West Shore of Harrisburg. Very convenient. Plenty of parking.

We , (My wife and 4 year old ) enjoyed our one night stay at Crown Plaza Harrisburg all the more because of our few hours at City Island. We went on a very hot day in August - so hot , the local TV station sent a reporter to interview some of us visitors there to see was it... More

Family of 5 in our way to Hershey we slept on Hilton Harrisburg which was great and we looked for outdoor activity and found the city island on trip advisor. The Island in the middle of the river is beautiful and great to walk around. I don't know why but only the ice cream which was excellent!!!! all were closed.... More

Home to the Senators professional baseball players, City Island is far more than a ball park. Enjoy miniature golf along the riverside, ride the carousel or the train which circles the island. People enjoy bicycling, inline skating or just casually meandering the path around the island. Summertime children enjoy wading at the beach and can enjoy a refreshing snow cone... More

Stopped at City Island on our way through Harrisburg to visit family. It was overrun with Pokemon seekers. Grown adults all over the place catching animated characters on their smart phones. Spent some time at the batting cages. Lots of fun for the little boys.

City Island is easily accessible with parking available on the island. Sporting events and family centered fun activitiew. The walking bridge makes it easy to cross over the river and also walk around the city. Great for biking or walking.

The best thing about City Island with Water Golf. Not just the golf-it's the food stand! Surprisingly good and massive amount of ice cream for the dollar. Highly recommend sneaking out of the Senators game and helping yourself!

Pretty cool, an island in the middle of a river that's part of the capital. There's a few things to do too. I definitely recommend visiting the water mini golf. There wasn't a whole lot to do though and they should have made some areas inaccessible for cars as there's no sidewalks along the roads.
