FIRST - DESPITE WHAT EARLIER REVIEWS from others HAVE SAID, TROEGS IS APPARENTLY **NOT** PET FRIENDLY - PLEASE READ ON: We selected this restaurant while traveling with our new puppy based on reviews (including other reviews here on TripAdvisor) that their outside seating was pet-friendly. We tried to call ahead to confirms but we were placed on hold for more than 10 minutes. When we arrived, we were greeted by the host who unapologetically stated that they did not allow pets. I am not sure if their policy changed from previous experience, and certainly if it did I can respect their policies. However, the mannerism of the host (whose name was also Dean) was quite pretentious, elitist and condescending towards us, and was less than interested when we pointed out that their establishment has a pet-friendly reputation. Not only did he not apologize for the inconvenience (although we had pointed out we went out of our way to choose this establishment), he made no qualms about it that our business was not important to them. Because of his attitude, more so than the fact we couldn't dine on an outdoor patio with our puppy, it is clear that our business isn't valued at Troegs and I will not support them in the future. The good news is we found another establishment nearby that WAS more than welcoming to us and our puppy, and I suspect that I enjoyed the dinner more than I would have at Troegs. To Troegs Management: 1. Please don't put customers on hold for 10 minutes or longer. 2. Whether you want it or not, there is information on the internet that states you are pet-friendly. If you are not, please make this known. 3. While I do not challenge your current policy, your host should have been able to handle the misunderstanding in a much more friendly and helpful manner instead of the message that was received. 4. Get back to your humble roots. Loose the elitist attitude. I have not patients for arrogance.…

We were in Hershey for business and my husband has been wanting to go here. We fell in love. He said it was by far his favorite brewery he has been to and we have hit a ton. Great environment and love the smell of the mash cooking. Let's talk about the food...damn is it good. Everything we had was amazing but the pork belly appetizer stole the show. We love it so much we went back a week later when in town again for business. We had already tried another place for dinner and had regretted not going there again to eat. The rules that you have to order food with your alcohol to prevent from getting covid from only drinking a beer is suspect. We went from a place that .50 cent bag of chips is considered fine with your beverage but you can't order the $5 popcorn at Troeg's but you can buy the $11 soft pretzel and you are good...okay. Covid sucks but Troeg's doesn't. My husband loved it so much he had to take a case of beer home with him.…

This place is always packed so we decided to give it a try. I understand that it's at limited capacity due to Covid. However, we did not have a good experience at all. We joined the wait list on-line and then when we got there had to go on another wait list to enter the store. Once our table was ready we asked if we can sit inside and they said "no, we need to put you where we have room". Ok, so we proceeded outside. We were already hot and tired from being at the park all day, our table was the only table directly in the sun with no fan over us, like the other tables. On top of that, our waiter DJ was HORRIBLE. We felt like he couldn't be bothered with us but was bending over backward for other tables. Thank goodness for Eric who saw we were dying in the sun and came over and got our check for us. The only good part of this restaurant. Menu was also nothing great, I'm guessing limited due to Covid. Don't wast your money. We went to Iron Hill Brewery the next day and it was a thousand times better than this overrated place!…

This is our First time visiting, and we will always return when in the area. The choices of ales, pilsners, etc are amazing; they serve various sizes for sampling or just enjoying. The food is well priced ($8-$16) and very tasty; nothing is "standard" fare. They also have a shop for apparel or (more importantly) their brews. COVID-era social distancing and concern is very evident and well-managed by the staff.…

Not your run of the mill brewery.Went on a Saturday night and it was almost standing room only. Seems to be extremely popular for miles around. The beers I tasted were "Very" good. The food also. All the staff seemed warm and friendly. Parking is an issue.
