Small but packed full of interesting history

Vets get in free. takes about an hour to look around, full of great information about different aircraft and there usually are volunteers to answer questions.

But most of these are iconic jets. Even though their exhibitions are below par compared to other dedicated museum, but at the very least they do have some top secret fighters on display.

We went to the Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum with two of our grandsons (ages 8 and 10). Since they had recently visited Washington's huge Air and Space Museum, we thought that this site would be a bit of a let-down for them. To our surprise we spent about 1.5 hours in this Horsham gem. The main attraction greeted us... More

Some wonderful examples of planes right outside in open site. Plus a decent-sized museum inside. They are only open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:30 to early afternoon 3 or 4.pm. definitely a great find for air enthusiasts.

Compact museum gives you an overview of military flight via well-curated displays. Interesting planes both inside and out. The exhibits of each campaign are personalized with one service member's story; this engaged me far more than other military museums I've visited. Whether you're an airplane geek, a history buff, or are just looking for something interesting to do, this museum... More

Very nice staff. Very informative. Some of the collection is inside and some outside. It is a small collection of actual aircraft, with some interesting pieces. There are a lot of models and other displays. Everything is well researched. The $6 donation is very reasonable and well worth it.

The biggest compliment I can bestow upon this museum is the wonderful people who staff the place. Staff can make or break an experience for a visitor. The second biggest compliment is that they have managed to pack over 100 years of aviation history into a shoebox. Why is that a compliment? Think about it, you find an old shoebox... More

The museum shows the history of aircraft mostly from a military perspective. They have well labeled items on display--airplanes and memorabilia both indoors and outdoors. The docent guides are knowledgeable and helpful. My husband was very interested and I surprised myself at how interested I was in the exhibits. It was a very enjoyable stop.

Took my nieces here for a trip when they didn't have school one day.. It's free entrance but they ask for a donation at the end. It's worth it! There are a ton of planes that date all over different wars and you can sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet. It's fun to see the kids love it... More
