- mfultz2231 contributionFamily Friendly Fun!I attended these tours with my 6 year old nephew who was very engaged and entertained during the whole tour! Our tour guide was polite and personable. The caves are well preserved and fascinating. The tour was up hill some, so if you have mobility restrictions this isn't the activity for you, and this is clearly stated on their website if you've missed it. The gift shop is large and has a lot of fun souvenirs for people, even some sifting activities for kiddos to sift for gems and fossils.Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We truly appreciate the 5***** and details you provided. We are glad you enjoyed your adventure with us and hope you include more cave experiences in your travels. - patriotblue1Grand Rapids, Michigan190 contributionsDefinitely Worth a Visit!I have visited several caves and this one had some unusual formations. This was the first time our grandsons had ever been in a cavern and they were thrilled around every turn. Our guide Carolyn was a professional and did an excellent job at sharing the history and what each formation was. The website is informative and well done. Ordering tickets online was a breeze and the price very fair. The highlight of the day for the boys was their opportunity to be "prospectors" looking for treasure in a sleuth. Their combination ticket provided them with a bag of soil , stone, and rocks and minerals. I have to admit I was thinking they might find one or two items in their bag but they both had over ten pieces. The gift shop had quality items. The staff all friendly and helpful. What a wonderful way to start the day, reading such a great review! We truly appreciate your visit, especially sharing the caverns with your grandsons. I hope they will visit more in their future travels. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Carolyn and the rest of our awesome team. Your visit and review certainly make what we do a true pleasure. - theladyofthefountainPittsburgh, Pennsylvania1 contributionGreat tour and gift shopThey provide you with flash lights before you go underground. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the cave. There was not a single bat in that cave which I personally loved. I also loved everything in that gift shop. We brought my sons friend with us and she said that when she dies she wants to be stuck in a time loop of that day. It was the best day she had in her 9 years on this planet.WOW! This is one of the best reviews I've ever read, especially the comments from the 9 year old. The best part of what we do is exciting children about the underground world. Thank you so much for visiting and sharing our caves with your children. I hope you will include caves in future travels - they are all unique and different. It looked interesting online when I read about it, but to experience it in person is breathtaking. Definitely worth the trip and the price of admission. A beautiful piece of history!!!Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and for visiting Lincoln Caverns! We are so glad you enjoyed our caves and our history (we are 90+ now). We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The caves are fascinating and our tour guide made them come alive. Its not always easy to find things my 20+ year old sons like to do with their mom but the caves were a huge hit!Thank you so much for the wonderful review AND for visiting Lincoln Caverns. Does your son attend Juniata? Generation #4 of our family works at Lincoln Caverns AND attends Juniata College. The college is what brought my parents and grandmother to Huntingdon, PA. Sharing the splendor of the underground with guests of all ages is truly a labor of love and one that our entire team enjoys doing every day. What a great experience but not for the faint at heart. Dark, wet areas including steps but what a spectacular awe inspiring work of nature. Worth doing for sure We have travelled past the sign Lincoln Caverns going back and forth to Pittsburgh and never stopped. Glad we did the day trip.
Make sure you wear sneakers or rubber bottom for sure.
The gift shop had alot of gems
You can even pan for gold....

Lincoln Caverns is always a treat to visit. Our house was very knowledgeable and friendly. The gift shop had lots of neat merch, as well. My daughter also really enjoyed panning for gems. Thank you for keeping this attraction in operation! Always loved to go as a kid and was thankful my daughter got to share this experience.

Thank you for your interest in Lincoln Caverns. Yes, there are steps and inclines, but we try our best to take the tour at the pace of the slowest visitor. If you are able to do some steps and handrailings on both sides, you should be fine. Thanks to those above who did a great job in answering your questions!

Thank you for your interest in Lincoln Caverns. The gift shop is accessible to strollers, but the caverns are not. Hope this info helps.
