Malmesbury really is a very beautuful little town, and the Abby was the highlight. Its big and beautiful on the outside but once inside it feels warm and friendly, loved the community feel and lovely to stop and have coffee at their coffee shop.

Initially visited the town of Malmesbury to see the Abbey for historical reasons . However the town was also interesting the walk around and found a lovely tea rooms for lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed. Easy to get around and parking just below the Abbey was free for first 2 hours.

We visited on a wet day , not much to do , but interesting location in the town - looked like some good walks around if the weather had been better. Car park free on a Sunday

It's extremely impressive and inspiring in a village claiming to be one of the oldest in the UK. We visited and spent a good deal of time looking at some of the preserved books and exhibits
