Built in the late 1970's the Abbey golf course has now matured into a fine, championship standard parkland course measuring over 6,500 yards. Designed by Donald Steel, one of Britain's leading course architects the course has been extensively upgraded and lengthened in recent years. Home to the Best Western Senior Masters final in 2006 the course now regularly hosts county matches and high profile corporate days. The layout includes matured trees, lakes and on the whole the fairways are wide with the rough not too punishing, the picturesque 7th is a 192 yard drive from the medal tee with the green surrounded on three sides by the river arrow. The 13th is a challenging uphill par 4 drive between two mature oak trees at 250 yards with the green concealed out of sight at the top of the hill.We offer Par 72 18 hole course, driving range, putting green, buggy hire, teaching and coaching support.

Great golf

For me the best course in Redditch. Always friendly challenging course. The hard holes not so hard, but the easier one according to SI are not. Bunkers could be better

Arrived straight from a long day attending a conference having driven up from London. Check in was OK but upon being told my room number I then found myself wondering around the hotel trying to find it. On returning to the reception an impatient receptionist pointed me in totally another direction. From there it was pretty much down hill on... More

An excellent break, we stayed 2 nights with 3 rounds of golf. The rooms were clean and well decorated, the food was excellent and the staff could not do enough for us .There were19 ladies in our group and they gave us a room of our own for our meals and the dining room staff were very attentive and did... A brilliantly organised wedding venue. The hotel, the wedding breakfast, all contact and help before and during the wedding ceremony was first class. Everything ran very smoothly all due to the excellent management and well organised very helpful staff. Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding venue.. A very happy ,other of the bride.

Went with the golf society for 1 night and 2 rounds of golf. The golf course is not over long so good for society days with golfers of all abilities and handicaps. All our rooms were good and spotless, especially mine as it was on the ground floor as they were a bit bigger than the 2nd floor rooms. The... More

Stayed at the hotel and had two great rounds. The course is parkland and mostly well laid out, but there are a couple of holes that are shoehorned in. Greens and tees: Great Fairways: Excellent Clubhouse: A touch pricey Changing facilities: Good Staff: Friendly and helpful TGS had a great time and we will be going back.

Had so much fun playing on this picturesque golf course with lakes and trees in abundance!!! The 18th is a special hole and after I'd had a beer in Tawny's Bar watching people play the devilishly difficult last - I stayed in the luxurious hotel. Highly recommended by me!!!

We had a great Father's Day lunch at The Abbey in Redditch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loads of choice on the carvery, great veggie option. Amazing cakes. Great value for money and really child friendly. All went to the driving range afterwards - a great day out.
