This is great place to go for the Comedy Thursday. The comedians are funny. This place caters for music, comedy, play lovers at night and children in the day.

I've seen musicians, plays and comedians here, all of whom have been on TV at some point, and the cost of tickets is as cheap as you're ever going to get, plus you're sat within just a few feet of them! There's also the beer festival here now and then, so that's a fun option if you're into your real... More

Went to The Met last night to see a gig. Arriving a little before 8pm, with the gig due to start at 8:15, we ventured into the Whiskey Bar for a drink beforehand. The beer was REAL ALE (plus point), and we sat waiting until the gig was about the start. About 5 minutes before it did, we were told... More

Gervase was brilliant as he usually is, and when complimented with this precious, diminutive venue, it was certainly a recipe for success. We enjoyed a bite to eat beforehand and a little drink during the performance. All great fun and not at silly prices. Would recommend... both!

I have been going to the Met at Bury for some 2 1/2 years since we moved up north. It has a very strong programme of folk and acoustic singer/songwriters, and is already a good quality venue. They host a great folk weekend Expo in the autumn, that has some top notch artists , and opportunities like a Q&A format... More

Been visiting The Met foe many years now mainly to see the superb music programme which is as good as any you'd find in a similar setting. It's THE place to go for folk and acoustic music in the North and has venue staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. Not only recommended by visitors but also by many of the... More

I visited The Met to attend the bury beer festival. It really is a great venue in terms of size & location. All the staff were really welcoming & explained how the beer festival worked etc. The beer festival itself had all local brewery's & had a really large selection of ales and ciders. The staff who worked the stalls... More

The specialist whisky bar, as well as the larger cocktail bar downstairs provide a good start to the evening. The main concert hall is small but has good acoustics and a good atmosphere.
