Look in any direction and there is a beautiful landscape throughout this park that runs alongside the River Etherow. Its cafe is brilliant with highly motivated and helpful staff and our grandson loves coming here to feed the ducks, swans and geese.

Good walk around the lake with the kids followed by a nice brew and toasties then time to feed the ducks. Lots to do here and the kids loved climbing the trees etc.

Lovely large lakeside country park with a cafe and toilet facilities. Plenty of ducks and other water birds, food available from the cafe to feed them. A hide for birdwatching is situated in the park away from the busier areas.

It's your looking for a walk just out of the city with lots of wildlife and a feeling of really being out in the wilderness then this is it! I have been here a couple of times now and both times it's been great. I have seen multiple species of ducks such as mallard and mandarin but also seen geese... More

Great flat walks around the ponds/lakes with a great weir at one end - woods behind offer more challenging paths and lovely views.

Upon our visit to Etherow Park, our 6 year old had complained of being a bit hungry... A quick stop off at the park cafe before feeding the ducks sorted us all out! A beautiful lady named 'Hannah' that works in the park Cafe was so polite, & helpful when our little boy was being indecisive about which cake he... More

It's nice to just have a stroll round Etherow, take some bread to feed the ducks. The car park is nearly always full so it pays to be patient. There's a decent walk up one side of the water which leads to the waterfall and then back again on the opposite side to watch people fishing. The cafe is adequate... More

The cafe at the start,or finish, of your walk is good with terrace for sunny days. The walk to the weir and beyond is very pleasant, but, the water at the start between the cafe and the garden centre is a disgrace. It is filthy and smelly in hot weather. Stockport council are said to aware of it but haven't acted.

came here years ago and it was beautiful. Recently I decided to visit to go on a dog walk and the side walk had bird feces everywhere - not very pleasant but it is quite a nice walk.
