Very quick review, I think this would be best visited in the summer months as it was bitterly cold but that said the gardens are still completely breathtakingly beautiful! If you don't mind wrapping up warm and putting on some sturdy boots you will really enjoy yourself and don't forget to go up the 82 steps in the tower for... More

Lovely day out in Wentworth gardens including fantastic Halloween trail. Adventure playground was fab and kids loved playing in the folly. Visit slightly spoiled by chaotic cafe with very bad service. Food was OK but hard to understand how cafe was being staffed, two people were refilling the drinks fridge while one grumpy overworked person manned the till and made... More

nice garden centre with very large cafe which is worth a visit but can be a little pricey . There is also a gift shop . Plenty of plants as well and a little farm and play ground for the little ones .

Lovely gardens, old bit of castle, impressive glasshouse and a nice little play area for the little one. Best of all is the area of parkland full of deer. Walks of varying length with focal points. All in all a day well spent.

Had a lovely walk through the gardens. Luckily picked a nice day so we took a picnic. Children enjoyed a bit of a run around after trying to identify flowers & doing bark rubbings.

Saw signposts for this when working near Barnsley recently so we had a trip out. We had a nice day out there. Had lunch in the cafe which was good. Then had a wander through the gardens to the castle folly. Found the map not too useful as couldnt find a good path initially. Ended up walking over grass areas... More

Many thanks for your review, we're glad you had a nice day out and enjoyed your visit. We are not sure about your presumption that the seats in the castle folly area being made out of some of the curved stones from the old towers but this is certainly a possibility. We do hope you will come and visit us... More

I visited the gardens with a friend and we were fortunate to have them all to ourselves. There wasn't a great deal in flower at the time of our visit but the dahlias were magnificent. The newly restored orangery has been splendidly renovated and is delightful. We easily filled an afternoon walking around, fortified ourselves with a cuppa in the... More

We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed a very pleasant amble through our Gardens recently and thought the dahlias were magnificent. A particularly good time to see the Gardens in flower is in the Spring when the magnolias, camellias and rhododendrons are all in bloom. We hope you will visit us again soon. More
