Beautiful and sunny day was spent wandering through the jungle, woodland and valley walks. Was a nice day spoiled by lunch from the bbq. Avoid.

Well worth spending full day. Very spread out so using the map and planning a route is essential. Some steep paths so care needed. Insight into how country estates were organised, fascinating.

My wife and I visited in March, a bit ahead of garden season, but still had a wonderful day out. Some reviews seem to be disappointed by the fact that these aren't the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, but I can assure you it's well worth...More

After reading so much hype about the gardens and history we were really looking forward to a walk around. After buying tickets and looking at the map, 55 minutes later we'd finished walking around the estate and hadn't seen anything that you can't see elsewhere...More

I’d been to the lost gardens with my husband some years ago but didn’t see half of what I saw today. We spent 4 hours walking every path uphill and down dale and the three of us all thought it was excellent. The gardens still...More

Visited here today and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We bought the joint Eden Project (annual pass) and Lost Gardens ticket which is good value for money. The gardens are split into several sections from The Gardens (with Kitchen Garden, Flower Garden, Flora’s Green) to The...More

Quite nice area to stroll around in, probably nice for a family picnic on a hot summer day. Actually not much to see, there where some nicer areas. The farm shop at the entrance was nice.

As a family we were fourth time returners to heligan however we unfortunately did not visit last year. We were very excited to be seeing the gardens again this year as we had our minds blown previously by the fantastic gardens which were a credit...More

Decided to pop over to Heligan for a walk this morning. Weather was a bit iffy but we knew there would be plenty to see over there. I generally avoid the visitor attractions during the Summer but I knew that Heligan has more than adequate...More

Thanks for coming to see us Mike. If you prefer the gardens a little quieter, we usually find that Friday is quietest day of the week. That said, with 200 acres to explore, crowds quickly disperse throughout the gardens and estate. We’re really pleased to...More

We can expect up to 3000 people per day in the summer however due to the sheer size of the estate (200 acres) it never feels too busy and you'll always find your own little spot.

With over 200 acres to explore, we recommend setting aside between three and four hours to get a really good taste of the gardens and estate. You could easily spend a full day here though.
