We stopped off here after eating at the Carew Arms. We had our dog so couldn’t go in the house, but the grounds were great. So many different gardens, abundant in different countries plants. The cafe was great, with a lovely coffee.

We stopped here had a lovely walk, mapped out and easy to navigate, then had a spot of lunch. Would like to come back!

This is an amazing place with something for all ages. I can spend hours just wandering around the upper and lower park. The views are fantastic all around. Lovely to spot the wildlife and great for photography.

The house was interesting and beautiful and the guides were very good and informative. The Stables cafe food was very poor all pre-packed and tasteless and probably the worst Cornish pasty consumed in Cornwall to date. The cleaning operative in the ladies toilet was very...More

Well worth the visit made even better by a lovely sunny Sunday. We parked at the house first and did the tour of the house first, before getting in the car and driving down to the coast and parking again to visit the Orangery for...More

The house is well worth a visit, with its story, beautiful rooms and the fascinating tales that the guide told us about. Uptairs is a maritime museum with reference to the area, which was most interesting. The gardens are extensive with each one representative of...More

We went over on the Edgcombe ferry from Plymouth which is basic but comfortable as it only takes about 10 minutes to get across. The park is extremely well looked after and the walks are easy. If you want a longer walk then you can...More

The food in the Stables Cafe was unappealing and barely edible. I noticed before ordering that plates were being left unfinished, I now know why. The smell of stale cooking oil was evident inside the cafe, the grapes on my plate very old, the humous...More

Sorry I may be a bit late, but missed the question somehow. Yes the park has many seated areas for picnics. There are also a couple of cafes by the Segway area behind the house. Also there is the orangery restaurant. The... More
