The dog on the tuckerbox is another local Aussie legend and as sucvh is worth a viewing to say you have seen it. It is a small statue at the end of a piece of the old Hume road which is totally overshadowed by the souvenir shops and cafes around it. It looks a little forlorn but is worth seeing... More

Overrated and good for businesses that use the story to profit. If you need something to eat and need to stop then stop but Gundagai township would be more appealing

We stopped in for a quick lol break. And it's a very old tourist attraction but worth the stop. We grabbed some food and it was average. Frankly though it's what we expected. We didn't want deep fried and it was lovely say sitting outside watching the throes of people. A quick or long stop, depending on how hurried you... More

Worth a look! Grab a coffee and support the locals buy buying some beautiful apples or something from the little market stalls.

I had to go to see the 'Dog and the Tuckerbox' for nostagic reasons and to take a photo of then and now - I will attach this photo for you. It is still a good spot to stop to stretch the legs and grab a bite to eat.

Didn't eat or do anything else, it was good to say we have been but other than heaps of people taking photos, didn't have the opportunity to eat so can't properly rate the place. In saying that, see it

The Dog on the Tuckerbox has left us very disappointed after stopping for a picnic lunch and a stretch with our 3 small grandchildren. After a look around and a lovely picnic we went to do the right thing and dispose of our rubbish in the bins that were there. To our HORROR I had an older man come and... More

Anyone up for reheated pies or sausage rolls at 2.50pm feel free to visit. Don't even think about anything else from the kitchen because your not getting it . While your tucking into one of those reheated pastries don't be afraid to look around for an overpriced gift .

Stopped on the way to Canberra for a coffee and a break, the dog and surrounds needs a refurb. Staff were friendly and helpful.
