What a pristine environment

A top spot to visit and worth getting out on the bay in a boat or sight seeing vessel. In winter go out on a Whale watching boat or in summer swim at Hyams Beach.

Lots of trails and beaches to check out. Its pretty sleepy during off season so you have the trails and beaches almost all to yourself

We paid $11 per car to get into the park and once we were in there, it was like a ghost town - a lot of mist around and not a soul in sight. We went for a bit of a trek and found an Cape St George Lighthouse - some great history (and a lot of death) here. Wonderful... More

We've been to hyams beach before, but this was our first trip to the national park. Unfortunately not the best weather, but still so stunning. Green patch and murrays beach well worth the visit. We did the circuit track 11km as well - the reward for effort wasn't as great as the green patch and murrays beach. Though we did... More

You are provided with a map when entering the park (payment required) but then you are free to explore by car the various areas and sites. The Cape St George Lighthouse is a visit back in time and a great whale-spotting location.

Its like 2.5-3 hour drive from Sydney past the Wollongong township and the drive is really amazing. If you are heading there pack some food from home or there are drive-thru's Mcd's and Hungry Jacks because there are no options for food there. The white sand beach, Hyams, Chinamans beach all reside in the same place. The white sand beach... More

Went with wife and our 10 and 7 years olds and a relative who lives locally who was showing us the sights. Excellent value of $11 for a 2 day pass. After a drive through un-spoilt countryside we arrived at the campsite car park (we weren't camping). Plenty of free parking. We took a stroll through the camp site and... More
