My wife and I have taken a number of friends to Junee. Stayed at the Caravan Park and the highlight of the visit is the Roundhouse Musium. We all appreciate the work done by the volunteers and loved all the exhibits.

Friendly staff took us through the history of the Junee rail district. The round table workshop still operates and provides a home for several generations of rail rollingstock. Take the time to see.

Great oversight into how the trains operated and "turned" around years ago. Lots of trains to look at and explore. A must for train buffs.

Trains, trains and more trains. The volunteers have done an amazing job. So many locos and carriages to see. You can go into and fully explore everything you see. Not much is off limits and you can really immerse in the history of NSW rail. From steam to electric they are all here. Best rail museum ever. Spent nearly 3... More

An informative look at our past rail engines. Faboulous displays and the guide was more than happy to impart his knowledge onto us. You can go onto the trains to see the interiors. Young boys would love this exhibit and was very affordable for a family....$16 for family of four.

Friends suggested we might be interested in visiting the Roundhouse if we were in the area. We didn't have great expectations, but were very pleasantly surprised by what we found at the end of a gravel road by the rail line in Junee. Highly recommend this terrific hidden gem of a rail museum. Climb aboard a steam engine, explore the... More

The entry to the museum has an excellent elaborate model train set and a great deal of railway and Round House historic material. The museum itself occupies on third of the Roundhouse railway engine service workshops. The museum has a great cross section of carriages from different eras for you to explore plus a steam loco, diesel locos, railway crane... More

So many trains to see and walk through. They have been kept up real nicely and you can really feel like you are stepping back in time when going through these railway cars. You can even pretend to be the conductor and/or train engineer and sit in the driving seat of the engines. A few kods were there and wete... More

The Roundhouse is actually still in use, so you will be guided. Very nice example of railway engineering of yesteryear. Other attractions are the carriages and Post Office car and other intricate rail inspection equipment.

What an exciting place, to see the old red rattlers and Motor Rail which was my everyday vehicle to school, sitting there with all the rest of the great trains !
