Ned's Beach is stunning!! I mean really sensational! The water is various shades of blue, there are reefs to snorkel, and fish that wait near the shore to be fed. There are wetsuits and snorkels there that you can hire on an honour system.

How close do these fish come? And we saw a small (3 foot?) shark too about 3m away from the fish. This is a beautiful spot for sunset. Select a time when the wind is Westerlye or Sth Westerley so it is much stiller. Good...More

Ned' beach is special. It's a beautiful spot to spend several hours, whether having a barbecue, reading a book on the lawn, sun baking on the golden sand, snorkelling or feeding the fish. Snorkelling gear can be hired from the kiosk, leaving payment in the...More

Get pine trees to deliver a BBQ here on a sunny day.... one of our highlights. It is a gourmet experience and you feel like you have the beach to yourself.

What a lovely secluded sheltered spot . Had a quick snorkel with equipment hired from a hut there via an honesty box. The coral was quite vibrant compared to big dead patches that you see in queensland but you dont see the array of fish...More

Feed the local fish, snorkel the reef, laze in the sun or just walk along the sand. Just relax that's what Ned's beach is all about!

As to be expected of east coast beaches Neds does not disappoint. Beautiful water, rock pools, great fun feeding the fish and snorkelling off the sand!

Yes - you can hire stand up paddle boards at Ned's beach. Surfable waves are on the east coast of the island at Middle Beach and Blinkys beach and occasionally at Ned's beach.
