Six Km long with an average depth of about 3m protected by a reef make this an ideal place to swim. Water is clear and usually calm.

You cannot sit anywhere along lagoon beach without just adoring the beautiful scenes - mountains, hills, palm frees, Norfolk pines, boats, beautiful blue water...... wonderful

Mild weather for mid winter. Some days were fairly breezy but there were places to go for protection. People are friendly. Plenty of options for accommodation and restaurants. Various walking tracks for a range of abilities. A little effort gives great reward of wonderful views.
