The lagoon at Lord Howe is spectacular. On the shore a cluster of boat sheds offering boat trips and the Anchorage close by with Thompsons general store and some other shops means its a central area. Shaded bque facilities where there is always wood stacked...More

Picture postcard lagoon beach. Must be one of the most picturesque beaches in the world. Yes. A giant statement. My eyes and heart did not deceive me. This is truly paradise! Water colour is turquoise to deep blue. Lagoon / beach is a very large...More

The lagoon would have to be the safest beach on the island. It's great for a dip, fantastic for snorkelling, stand up paddle board and using the kayaks. A lovely beach with amazing views of Mt Gower and to see the planes landing. Highly recommended.

Here the ocean is calm and sweet ! This is the beach to take the glasbottem boat for snorkling or watching the big turtles. Don’t miss that !

Lagoon beach stretches from the airport around to the main part of ‘town’ and looks over to Mt Gower and Lidgbird. The beach is beautiful and has a few hire places to get paddle boards and kayaks as well as book snorkelling and dive trips....More

A lovely beach fringing the lagoon. The lagoon has fantastic shades of turquoise water and is a great place to swim or just laze.

Snorkeled around some rocky outcrops in the lagoon. So much to see, too many varieties of tropical fish to list, seen at an arms length. Shallow enough to stand up at low tide.
